I honestly never imagined I’d write a post about boba on Seattle Bloggers. We’ve talked about beer, cocktails, and even smoothies in the past. But, that all changed once I was introduced to Better Boba at Cup & Cone in Portland.
Located in Bethany Village, nine miles west of downtown Portland, Cup & Cone is committed to quality, creativity, and community. All of their products are natural, handmade, and without artificial ingredients — including Better Boba.
Reinventing Bubble Tea With All Natural Boba
What makes Better Boba different? It’s the world’s first all natural boba. And it all started at Cup & Cone when owners Allison and Parth Sodha decided to add boba to their menu. But, it didn’t take long for them to learn that boba is loaded with artificial and synthetic ingredients. Not to mention, it simply didn’t taste good.
Cup & Cone purchased its first boba machine from Taiwan and spent months testing recipes. The result: brown sugar boba pearls. They started testing their new product in the shop and it sold out daily. Soon after Better Boba was officially born.
The most fun and creative part: Cup & Cone offers customizable recipes, allowing you to BYOB (Build Your Own Boba). You select a tea base and add toppings for an extra burst of flavor.
