I love a few things about Molly Moon’s Ice Cream. The flavors are unique and tasty, the ingredients are local, and customers are treated like family. Tim and I often find ourselves at this ice cream shop late at night. It’s the perfect end to our date nights and we just can’t get enough of it.

Molly Moon’s Ice Cream has five locations in Seattle. Tim and I typically hit up the one on Queen Anne Hill, so we can take our ice cream to one of the hill’s incredible viewpoints and enjoy there. However, there are also shops in Ballard, Wallingford, Capitol Hill, and Madrona.

Molly Moon’s Ice Cream offers classic flavors like vanilla bean, chocolate, and strawberry, but they also have some wacky options. Other Molly Moon staples include balsamic strawberry, honey lavender, and earl grey. Throughout the year, they also offer seasonal flavors including lemon dill sorbet, strawberry sour cream, and vegan coconut chunk. I know some of those flavors may not sound super appetizing, but Molly Moon’s Ice Cream always hits a bulls-eye with their flavor pairing. Even though I was a little bit hesitant, I tried a scoop of their lemon dill sorbet last time we visited and loved it. While I’m the type of person that always tries something different (and have never come across a Molly Moon’s Ice Cream that I didn’t like), Tim can never say no to their salted caramel ice cream.

I really appreciate all the local ingredients they use in their recipes. Molly Moon’s aims to use as many local and seasonal products as possible.  They use milk from a Edaleen Dairy, a farm located in my hometown of Lynden, lavender from Sequim, honey from the Olympics, and sugar from Idaho.  These careful and thoughtful decisions leave a positive impact on the local and regional farms, but they also make the ice cream taste that much better.

Not only is the product amazing at Molly Moon’s Ice Cream, the customer service is superb. When ordering, you feel like you are talking with someone from your family. I always feel encouraged to sampled different flavors before making my final decision. The staff is also great at suggesting toppings that go well with my ice cream of choice.

If ice cream was as healthy as broccoli, I’d hit up this place every week. The hand-made, unique flavors dance on my taste buds. It’s a perfect treat for anyone at anytime, but Molly Moon’s is especially great during the summer. For me, this place screams the best ice cream in all of Seattle.
